Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme

Wilson and Scott have further strengthened their impressive health and safety reputation by rolling out the installation of FORS (Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme) systems onto their full complement of line marking and anti-skid trucks. This includes clear safety signage at the rear of each truck, the installation of 4 sensors down the nearside length of the truck body which are all connected to an internal cab ‘bleeper’ for warning alarm sounds, and the fitting of wider viewing lenses on near side mirrors. All of this is in addition to the standard truck installations required by law to improve safety for cyclists and pedestrians on Greater London’s roads and highways, as well as throughout the UK.

The safety campaign ‘safety starts with me’, launched exclusively by Wilson and Scott in 2013, is specifically created to place the emphasis of safety with all members of staff so that health and safety standards are adhered to and best practices are carried out by each individual. Wilson and Scott are proud that this policy has seen serious accidents drop year on year to a record low and reports of incidents have actually increased lending proof that staff are taking stock of every harmful aspect of their working conditions and reporting it back to head office for actionable consultation.

Fleet Operator Recognition SchemeWilson and Scott will continue to improve the safety conditions of their business and staff and arguably lead the line marking industry in this field.
